Tile Rush is in beta — details may change.
A Scrabble-flavoured speed round. Each round puts a seven-cell slot on stage — one or two cells already filled by board tiles, premium squares marked on the open cells — and a shared seven-tile rack. Chat races to type seven-letter words that fit the slot and draw from the rack. Every valid word can be claimed by exactly one chatter — first to type it locks it in — and you can claim as many different words as you can find. The more (and higher-scoring) words you claim, the bigger your round.

Gameplay

1

Read the slot

Note the fixed board letters, the premium squares, and the seven tiles on the rack.
2

Type words that fit

No command — type any seven-letter word that keeps the board letters in place and covers the open cells from the rack. First to type a word claims it; copies are dropped.
3

Claim all you can

Keep finding more words — every claim adds to your round score until the slot is cleared or the host reveals.

How the slot works

The board letters are fixed and the open cells must be covered by rack tiles; premium squares multiply the letters that land on them, just like Scrabble.

  • The slot is partly filled. One or two board letters are locked in place; your word has to keep them where they are.
  • Open cells come from the rack. The letters you add must be on the shared seven-tile rack (unless a gift grants wild tiles — see Gifts).
  • Premiums multiply. Double/triple letter and word squares score exactly like Scrabble, so where a word lands matters as much as which word it is.
  • First to type a word claims it. Each distinct valid word locks to one chatter; you can claim as many different words as you can find.

Layout

Labeled layout of the Tile Rush play surface
  1. Marquee — game title and how-to hint.
  2. Round + timer strip — round number and the countdown when a timer is set.
  3. Slot, rack + claim feed — the slot and rack up top, with claimed words scrolling in live below.
  4. Gift strip — the wild-tile gift when configured.
  5. Leaderboard — players ranked by total score.
The game moves through Lobby → Round → Revealed → Finished.

Gifts

Tile Rush’s gift grants wild tiles — off-rack letters. Sending the configured gift gives that chatter a personal budget of letters they can use beyond the shared rack for the rest of the slot; each fire adds to the budget, and budgets reset every round. Off-rack letters still score their normal Scrabble value. It’s off unless the host maps gifts to wild-tile counts.

Scoring

  • Each claim scores its Scrabble letter values × premium squares; your round score is the sum of every word you claimed.
  • Round scores fold into a running total; the highest total after the last round wins, and ties are shipped as co-winners.
  • The optimal word is held back until the reveal, so “the best word was X for Y” lands as a moment rather than spoiling the hunt.
  • Points feed the per-streamer tally behind avatar ring tiers. Wins are tracked per streamer.
