Higher or Lower shows two cards. The left card’s value is visible; the right card’s is hidden. Chat predicts whether the hidden value is higher or lower, the host reveals it, and — depending on the mode — wrong guessers are eliminated or everyone banks points. It’s one of the featured games and a staple of tournament mode.

How to play

1

Join

Viewers type !join to appear on the lobby roster, or just vote — the first vote joins them automatically.
2

Vote each round

Two cards appear. The left (anchor) shows its value; the right (challenger) is hidden. Chat votes by typing:
  • higherh, higher, up, or ⬆
  • lowerl, lower, down, or ⬇
One vote per person per round; re-typing doesn’t change your vote.
3

Reveal

The host reveals the challenger. If it’s higher, “higher” voters are correct; if lower, “lower” voters are correct. Equal values are a tie — everyone who voted is credited and no one is eliminated.
4

Next round

The challenger slides over to become the new anchor, a fresh challenger is drawn, and the next round begins.

  • Elimination — wrong voters and silent players drop each round; last player standing wins. The roster locks on the first reveal.
  • Points — no eliminations; every correct call scores and the highest total wins when the deck runs out.

Labeled layout of the Higher or Lower play surface
  1. Marquee — game title and a rotating how-to hint.
  2. Lifeline strip — shows which gifts grant immunity (elimination mode only, when configured).
  3. Vote-split bar — live tally of lower (left) vs higher (right) votes.
  4. Anchor card — the reference card, value shown.
  5. Challenger card — the hidden card; its value reads ? ? ? until reveal.
  6. VS divider — pulses during voting; on reveal it flips to HIGHER or LOWER.
  7. Voter piles — avatars of who voted each side.
The game moves through Lobby → Voting → Revealed → Finished.

Gifts

Higher or Lower uses the stadium-immunity lifeline. It’s off unless the host configures it.
  • Sending a configured gift grants the viewer +1 immunity, stockpiled up to 3.
  • When a reveal would eliminate them, one immunity is spent instead and they survive (“@viewer saved”).
  • A saved round does not earn a correct-call credit — the gift buys survival, not progress.
Lifelines only matter in elimination mode.

Scoring & winning

  • Each correct call adds to the viewer’s per-streamer win count (which drives avatar ring tiers).
  • Elimination: the last survivor (or survivors, if tied) wins; the game also ends if the deck is exhausted.
  • Points: the highest total when the deck runs out wins.
  • Ties at the top are listed as co-winners. Wins are tracked per streamer.
