Gameplay
Listen to the clip
The round opens on a one-second snippet. The host (or an auto-timer) extends
it a step at a time as the room struggles.
Name the track
Type the song title in chat — no command. Guess whenever you like; the first
correct guess wins the round.
How the reveal works
Each round is a staircase: the clip only gets longer, and the points on offer only get smaller — so it rewards the quick ear.- Six steps, six point tiers. A win scores 6 on the 1-second clip, then 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 as the clip extends to 2, 4, 8, 16, and 30 seconds.
- Title only. The acceptance check matches the track title (plus common variants) — the artist name alone doesn’t win.
- Any win beats no win. Even a call on the final 30-second clip banks a point, so it’s always worth guessing.
Configuration
| Option | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Title-hint gift | a gift that reveals title letters | Off until set |
Layout
- Marquee — game title and how-to hint.
- Round + step meter — round number and which reveal step the clip is on.
- Record — the now-playing hero; artwork stays hidden until the round ends (it often spells the title).
- Title skeleton — the title as blanks, with any gift-revealed letters filled in.
- Leaderboard — players ranked by total points.
Gifts
Guess the Song’s gift is a cooperative title hint — it uncovers letters of the title for the whole room. It’s off unless the host sets it.- Sending the configured gift reveals letters of the title at random positions, helping everyone converge.
- It’s a hint, not a solve — the round is still won by the first correct guess.
Scoring
- Points are awarded by reveal step: 6 → 1 from the shortest clip to the longest.
- The highest total across the set wins; ties are shipped as co-winners.
- Points also feed the per-streamer win tally behind avatar ring tiers. Wins are tracked per streamer.
